New report highlights work of the Covid-19 Support Fund to mark #GivingTuesday
To mark #GivingTuesday on Tuesday 1 December, The Covid-19 Support Fund has published a new report to highlight the impact of the Covid-19 Support Fund to date.
The Covid-19 Support Fund, launched by the insurance and long-term savings industry, having raised over £100m to date, has become the largest sector charitable fund in the UK responding to the Covid-19 crisis.
This report outlines the work of the Fund and the causes that have already been supported, delivering immediate and much needed assistance to those most in need and helping communities across the UK.
Since launching 6 months ago, the Fund has focused its efforts on areas of greatest social need, and the remaining funds will support these priority areas in funding grants to beneficiary partners and projects. These priorities include: creating a mentally healthier UK; supporting unpaid carers; addressing the adult reskilling crisis; ending domestic abuse; empowering people with disabilities; supporting people with dementia.
The Fund will be announcing 14 charity partnerships in the coming months and we will continue to keep you up to date on the causes that are being supported.
